Generally I have clear skin - except for my nose. I have pretty big pores along with a combination of oily and dry skin, so it's no surprise I get blackheads on my nose often. What I wanted to do was draw multiple lines comming from the same point to a random point that moves around randomly. I then wanted to apply a blur filter. The effect produces a ray of light that resembles what you would see if you where underwater. It's pretty cool, but after a while I found that the lag got worse (I think it was because of the huge "for" loop) anyway... I decided to convert all the lines to a bitmapdata and THEN apply a filter to it... This did take care of the growth in lag... But instead... When I'm at work, I connect to our server via the network, by using its local IP instead of the host name. The strange thing is, when I connect via the IP, it takes forever to resolve for some reason. I use WS_FTP as my client, and it will say "Connecting to *.*.*.4 Port 21...", but it will take forever. Sometimes I'll get a "Receive Error - Blocking Call Cancelled !Connection Failed". I keep hitting connect until it goes through. When I connect using the host name, which requires going through the (remote) DNS server, it connects with no problem, except it's a lot slower than going right into it. I originally was going to go with the 50 f/1.4 first because at 160 bucks you cant beat it, but I really want something with better magnification. It said in their add that it lasted from 4am-1pm. I was just wondering, would I go to Kohl's at 4am and be able to get stuff, or do I have to go earlier than that if I want a chance? This is my first Black Friday, so I have no idea! I've been a lot to black friday sales, Target, Sears, those kinds of places. The lines can be really long, and when the doors open at 4, you could have 200 people in front of you and maybe 20 of the item you want. You should get there about 2 or 2:30 if they open at 4.
