I think he's going to sign Bobby Bin Laden and little known son of Saddam Hussein, Ruud Hussein.
On a more serious note (terrorism is no joke to talk about) I believe Gaddafi's son is only on trial, unless, of course, like this one lad said already, he has already signed.
The Times are fools!
Well, sometimes.
Read about it here:

I think he has already signed him. I think Gaucci is sending a message that he has no morals and will sign anyone, just to make a Euro.
According to this article, he has signed.

The NY Times just had an article criticizing MLS for not letting Beasley sign with Perugia.
Yeah, that would've been great - Beas and this guy on the same team.
I heard Perugia's offer was quite low - 6 figures. No way that happens. I've been to Perugia, I wouldn't recommend any player ever sign for them.
EVER!
Well, surprisingly, he did manage to score twice on his debut in a friendly against an amateur team (Perugia won the game 12-0).

I wonder if I could have scored against them
:D
He sounds a little like the English version of Chris Albright.
What? He's a national team player then?! ;)
BTW, back to the thread topic, some paperwork or other has kept "Ghaddafi jr" from making his debut as yet. Perugia has played two official games without him (Bothroyd started both), advancing to the InterToto semifinals.
I agree, but the Times guy made it sound like MLS were pikers for not letting Beas play in the sacred hallowed ground of Europe.
The Times are fools!
Or me!! Hey, I scored a goal in my women's league game last week. Got my knee to it in a goalmouth scramble just before the goalie and a defender whomped me. Not the prettiest goal of all time, but then Pippo Inzaghi never seems to care when he scores goals like that. And we've got five wins in a row now!
damn Sue!
You guys are on fire!
I scored a goal off mt stomach once- was the game winner
Yeah, that would've been great - Beas and this guy on the same team.
The 21-year-old left Coventry at the end of last season after being made available on a free transfer, and impressed in a trial match for Perugia.
Bothroyd has signed a three-year contract with the Italian club, who are coached by Serse Cosmi and finished 10th in the table last season.
"Perugia signed playmaker Saadi Al Ghadaffi earlier this summer in a move which was criticised in several quarters as a publicity stunt but which the club insisted was a deal earned on merit.
For Bothroyd the deal represents a huge leap from Nationwide First Division into Serie A, but he has top-flight experience from his first season with Coventry.
He signed for £1m from Arsenal, where he failed to become a first-team regular, but Coventry were relegated within 12 months.
He scored 11 goals last season as Coventry finished a lowly 20th in the table, before being told he was surplus to requirements by manager Gary McAllister."
---Anyone know anything about this kid? He's English I assume. Not many English guys playing abroad, so it's quite interesting, especially for such an obscure (to me) player. Well, I guess it is Perugia that signed him, and they do LOTS of strange things...the Castel di Sangro of Serie A
Saadi has humbly selected himself to start in the Libyan national squad's midfield. It's far from clear that he deserves the spot: One of his Italian coaches told the paper Corriere dello Sport, "as a footballer, he's worthless." But when he plays for his Libyan club team, he often looks like Maradona. That's because his opponents usually position themselves as far as possible from him on the pitch; referees gift his club all sorts of absurd calls. And Libyans have learned the hard way not to protest any of this. In 1996, after fans booed the biased refereeing, Saadi's bodyguards responded by spraying the stands with gunfire. At the same time Saadi has pursued his playing career, he has tried to invest millions in glamorous European soccer clubs. Thanks to his obsession, the Libyan government is now the second largest shareholder in the most successful Italian club, Juventus, which visits New York next week.

Not sure how they managed to hook up with him. All I know is that he's quite tall for Serie A (1.9 m) and scored a hat trick in a recent training match against an amateur side (the same 12-0 game in which Ghaddafi scored twice). I guess that was enough to impress them into signing him. We'll see if he gets any playing time. It'll be interesting to hear the Italian commentators struggling with his name next season. ;)
Thanks to the miracle of FSW, I've actually seen Bothroyd play (Coventry v. Cardiff in the FA Cup was televised). Didn't have much of an effect (I think he came on as a sub) IIRC.

Just saw that as well.
If this guy plays in Serie A and does well I'll be impressed and amazed.
