My sister noticed mouse droppings in her cupboard and she thought maybe they were old droppings, so she cleaned it up. but a few days later she noticed the dropping were back.
she doesn't want to kill the mice she just wants them gone.
she has never seen the mice.
and she has 2 cats and they have never killed one.
i think they are hiding in the wall behind the cupboards.
is there a way to get rid of them with out killing them?
or is there a humane way to kill them?
keep in mind she has a 3 year old daughter and 2 cats.
so what ever you suggest has to be safe to be around kids and pets.I think there is a device which emits high-pitched frequency sound which drives mice crazy. I think you can buy it at almost any department store.you can order stuff online that will actually give you a humane mouse trap.
bad thing is... if you catch the mouse and you dont know it, its going to die anyways.
there is a new trap out that you never have to see the dead mouse, not really sure what it is thoughtrap them and set them free in the woods.
most people kill them they are vermin and they multiply and spread disease. They make live traps that will catch the mice inside of them and hold them until you pick up the trap. I don't know what you'd want to do with them after that though, if she releases them outside they'll more than likely come right back in.
Suggest that she call an exterminator to ask about humane ways to trap & dispose of them, maybe?i had one when we got a xmas tree it was a free gift lol. my hubby got a friendly trap and within a day we had got it and let it go in the field. u need 2 find out where it is 1st then just place the trap around that area and we put pieces of hamster food in trap. u can get trap at any pet store. good luckCats are the most effective if you don't want to use pesticide. Otherwise, I'd call a company like Orkin to rid them. There are humane mouse traps on the market. They just lure them into a cage (i.e. with food) and catch them without killing them. The you just let them out the next day or whenever.Get a mouse trap or mouse bait that will killl them when they step on it. That sticky stuff. Food is better. As mentioned in previous answers, if removal without killing is what you're looking for, live traps work very well. The trouble is, once you let the little darlings loose, they (or other new visitors) will find their way back in. The trick is to close up any holes, no matter how small, around the exterior of your home. Mice will smash through any opening the size of a dime or larger. Stuff small holes and cracks with tin foil, steel wool, etc., and they will not re-enter through that opening. THEN, set your live traps and release the critters into the wild =)you can buy traps that just catch the mice and then you release them in the country or park. You want to drive somewhere so they can't get back to your house. Look for: Live Catch Mouse Traps at your local hardware store, Walmart, or similar store. They have a small door that the mouse is enticed to enter, than shuts as soon as it does, enabling the homeowner to let the mouse out alive somewhere else.buy that riidix plug in thats advirtised on tv. trust it really works. all you have to do is plug it in and it drives the mice outThe only way to get rid of them is to kill them,
Spring loaded traps that snap their neck off seem to work best.
Any method is good as long as the mouse ends up dead. #If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
