MSN problem????????????????

Posted in: enart.nnmj.com Date: March 14th, 2010

  • i recieved an offline from one of my contacts containing a link with a picture. i opened and saved it but nothing came up it ws just blank. sinse then all my contacts have been saying that when they sign in that they're recieving links from me but i never sent them anyhing. one of my friends sed its a virus. what is it and why is it happening? how can i gt rid of it. btw i hav mcafee virus scan on my laptop.

  • Im getting that from friends at the moment, you need to go onto your history on the internet [click the start, then History], if there is a unusual site on there, check it out, then see if you have anything unusual in your documents. Otherwise, if that doesn't work, remove msn and download it again. It doesn't take long. :)

  • IT CAN BE A VIRUS DO NOT ACCES OR ACCEPT SUCH THINGS PEOPLE!!!

  • mcafee virus is awful just 2 let you know
Try changing your password because someone could be hacking you.
If that doesn't work then I really am not sure either.

  • get rid of mcafee and dl free avast ... set it up and do a boot scan this will get rid of the virus ...

link http://www.avast.com/ click on the freesoftware and dl

  • Its a virus dont click on it.. block the contact for a while

  • Its a virus, i had a virus on my computer once and i had do get everything on it deleted at PC World and then it was fine... so i suggest you do that... And McAfee virus scan is rubbish ... but some of my friends have that virus and it isn't as bad as the one i had, but u get still get your computer sorted out ..

  • McAfee is frankly appalling compared to Norton Anti virus. So, i would recommend you do a full system scan with McAfee first.
if no improvement change your password after deleting all your cookies in internet explorer or firefox (just in case you have a tracking cookie) they are located in tools.

If nothing still maybe you should by norton anti virus as it is better.

If still nothing happens maybe get a new msn account. Then if still nothing you may have a very strong virus on your pc and you may need a new one :-( but that will be a lot of money over some messages in msn so i recommend you just try changing passwords and performing scans.

    Good luck

  • I have gotten those before. I wouldn't click them the next time you get them.

  • hi

►scan your PC using your antivirus, if you haven't got any,use online scanning ..
    http://www.pandasoftware.com
    http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
    http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/home....
    http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/d...

►if it finds some files and won`t delete them (due to commercial reasons that might happen) copy&paste the report on the notepad, search the files and delete them.

--» don't forget to unable your antivirus temporally before online scanning

►then get MSN cleaner,it removes those typical MSN malwares
