Monsanto is evil. They're are trying to control farming with their seeds that don't reproduce. I think it totally sucks that they are getting away with this.Hey the corporations get their way again, of course we must protect the share holders.If we're buying things from them than it matters especially if we don't know who's modifying them and with what!
If we're not getting these things in the USA,
SCREW THEMThey are "testing" it out , Bio plants do not produce another plant or product from the seeds they have.Think about this.....If we can not take the seed out of an orange or off a stalk of corn and put it in the ground and grow it. Who then eventually controls the food? If the government controlled companies make it to where individuals can not farm their own seeds and their own food then they will eventually have to go to the government for it. There will be no competitive pricing so it will be outrageous to even try and buy it , you wont be able to grow it so you are eliminated threw starvation.Nice plan huh.Also they did a study and found out that the flower produced on a bioengineering plant attracts bees. We are losing our bees. The government have put out a big expensive report that it was due to cell phone waves, several smaller groups did their own studies and found it was due to the pollen's on the bio plants , it is to heavy and the bee dies before he can get back to the hive and remove the pollen's.

But to be FORCED to PURCHASE! If they want to help why not distribute seeds to those who will have them. If they're really something special obviously the public will pick up on them and they will be i demand. Marketing 101. that's ludicrous and you're absolutely right, it is not at all exploiting this new found freedom they're supposed to have!
Do you think by forcing them to purchase they already put a negative connotation on the seed to the iraqi people?
Addendum: I replied before reading, now I have read and I must have missed the part where they are forcing Iraqi farmers to purchase these seeds? where was that part? Sounds more like law to me.I think it sucks.
Is there an Arabic translation of the order 81, for Iraqis to read? well try to read I guess.lol
