There was a song in the 1980s. One of the last lyrics was "And I wound
up washing dishes in a Holiday Inn. And sometimes I wonder what
became of him." What was it called and who sang itThanks a lot. That was driving me nuts. I kept thinking it was the
Tony Carey song, "Fine Day for a reunion", and was puzzled that it was

The song is "The First Day Of Summer", and the singer is Tony Carey.
The song was released as a single in 1984 and reached #33 on the
Billboard Charts in July that year.
