i got two ferrets yesterday one male and ne female i think they been kept together and i wanted to no what a ferret in heat actually look like i no they say it when there bits are swollen bu how bad no pictures on the internet for me to see the one i got yesterday bits are not like my others its sticks out its looks like a human virgina i don't no is she been kept wiht this boy all time and i don't' no if she had litter before her nipples are really clear (stick out)
To start with your ferret might be in season. Jills need to be mated or they can get very ill and die. Either get a vacestimised hob or just breed her. If her privates are swollen and she's in with your hob wouldnt surprise me if she is already.

I've never even SEEN an on heat ferret and I know what they look like...if you dont even know what a jill looks like when she is on heat, then you are NEVER going to be able to help her raise her kits properly. A LOT can go wrong with ferret pregnancy, male ferrets are vicious to females during sex and can injure them badly, and if there are problems with the birth you're not experienced enough to know. Even then, ferret kits are hard to home because so many people breed them, and they can have very large litters. PLEASE be sensible and have your female jill jabbed and then spayed. when its okay ot do so you have ot handle them regularly otherwsie they wil grow up to be biters
if you handle them too soon the moterh may eat them as she thinks she is defending them
